Bio

Herald Coaster, February 5, 1978: Funeral services for Emil R. Steffek, 60, of Freeport, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Saint Michael's Catholic Church in Needville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Davis-Dawson Funeral Chapel in Needville. Mr. Steffek died Thursday at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. He is survived by six sisters, Mary Zwahr of Fairchild, Marcella Steffek of Needville, and Cecilia Steffek, Alma Martin, Evelyn Skellie, and Lorretta Whittington, all of Houston; three bothers, Victor Steffek of El Campo, John Steffek of Lake Jackson, and Jerry Steffek of Needville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday at the Davis Dawson Funeral Chapel in Needville. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Davis Dawson.
