Herald Coaster, August 18, 1995: Funeral services for Marcella L. Steffek of Needville, will be held on Saturday, August 19, 1995, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. A rosary service will be held on Friday, August 18, at 7 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home in Needville. Father James Ransey will officiate at the services. She was born on February 18, 1911 in Dubina, Texas and passed away on August 16, 1995 in Needville. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, and KJZT. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances Steffek; sisters, Christine Steffek and Martha Schwettmann; and brothers, Victor, Emil, and Edwin Steffek. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Zwahr of Fairchild, Celia Steffek of Houston, Alma Martin of Richmond, Evelyn Skellie of Houston, and Loretta Whittington of Houston. She is also survived by two brothers, John Steffek of Lake Jackson and Jerry Steffek of Needville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Mark Schwettmann, Arthur Martin, Randy Steffek, Joel Skellie, Jason Steffek, and Michael Schwettmann. Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Friday, August 18, at Davis Funeral Home, 9302 Church Street in Needville. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Needville, telephone 409-793-6141.
