Services Held For John Feekes Funeral services for John Feekes were held Friday afternoon at 12:45 p. w. at the home and at 1:30 p. m. in the Reformed church at Carmel. Rev. H. Harmelink of Woodstock, Minn., officiated and burial was in the Carmel cemetery under the direction of the Cooperative Funeral service of Sioux Center. Mr Feekes died at his home four miles west of Carmel Tuesday, March 29. He was born June 19, 1886, north of Maurice. At the ago of two he moved with his parents to the Carmel vicinity, where he grew up to manhood. He married Henrietta Vande Vooren at Orange City March 1, 1909. Survivors include the widow; two sons, Ted of Beloit and Henry of Sioux Center; two daughters, Marian (Mrs. John Schoep) of Maynarcl, Minn, and Kathrine (Mrs Evert Vander Vliet) of Sioux Center; 28 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; five brothers, Gerrit of Rock Valley, Nick of Sheldon, Gradus of Rock Valley, Opie of Sioux Center and William of Rock Valley; and three sisters, Mrs Gerrit Schoep, Mrs .William Van Berkum and Mrs. Neal Vonk. One sister, Mrs. Bastian Schenk, preceded him in death. Rock valley Bee 1960-04-07.
