Funeral held for Sioux Center Woman Saturday Funeral services for Mrs. Christina Schenk, lifetime Sioux Center resident, were held last Saturday at the Co-operative Funeral service chapel and at Carrnel Reformed church. Mrs. Schenk died Thursday last week at the age of 73 years, at the Sioux Center hospital. Survivors include ther widower; two sons, Henry and Theodore, both of Sioux Center; two daughters, Miss Nellie Schenk of Sioux Center and Mrs. Joel Rykstra of George; six brothers, three sisters, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Schenk was born Oct. 16, 1885 in Sioux county, and was married in March 1907 to Bastiaan Schenk. The couple farmed near Sioux Center for more than 50 years. Sioux County Capital 1959-07-23.
