Brainerd Daily Dispatch; Friday, October 24, 1969; Page 3 Rites Set for Miss Buchanan Crosby - Miss Mary Buchanan, 81, former teacher in the Cedarbrook area and resident of the Cedarbrook and Cuyana areas, died this morning at a Minneapolis hospital. She was born in Gaza, Iowa, April 9, 1888. Funeral services are planned for 10 am Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Crosby. The Rev. Joseph Cashen will officiate and interment will be in St. Thomas cemetery at Aitkin. A parish rosary will be said at the Koop Funeral home at 7 pm Sunday. Friends may call after 2 pm Sunday. Miss Buchanan is survived by a brother, Mark Anthony Buchanan, Jamestown, N.D., nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers.
