Services Held for William Buchanan (Saturday, October 31, 1953) Funeral services were conducted from St Joseph's Catholic Church for William "Bill" Buchanan, long time Crosby resident. Bill died at Miners Hospital on Wednesday of last week folllowing a short confinement. He was 82 years old. Born in DeWitt, Iowa, Bill has made Crosby his home for the past 16 years. He is survived by a sister, Mae, in Minneapolis and five brothers, Harry of Deerwood, Leo of Aitkin, Fred of Chatfield, Mark of Jamestown, ND and Paul of Nome, ND. Father Joseph Cashen officiated at the 9 am mass, and the interment was at St Thomas Cemetery at Aitkin.
