Obituary form Moberly Paper: Manning Hess, 55, of 514 Farror died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack Saturday afternoon as he was a passenger in a car that was traveling back to Moberly from Ohio. Exact details were lacking but Hess became ill while riding in the car was was pronounced dead in Morgan County, Ind. Born Nov 11, 1921, at Moberly, he was the son of Harvey and Mary Justus Hess. He had lived at Moberly and Ohio most of his life. Mr Hess operated a sanitation service. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Nancy Jones, Moberly; six sons, Steve, Moberly; Gary and Mike, Newark, Ohio; Larry and Leslie, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Tim, West Palm Beach, FL; three sisters, Minnie Young, Norine Staley, and Edna Gravitt all of Moberly; three brothers, Thomas and John Hess, Moberly and Freddie, Carnagie, PA. Several grandchildren also survive. Burial in Hagar Cemetery.
