Bio

Thomas Earl Hess Sr., 84, of Moberly passed away December 10, 2008 at Moberly Regional Medical Center in Moberly. He was born April 26, 1924 in Moberly to Harvery and Mary Justice Hess. Tom owned and operated Hess Septic Tank Service before retiring. He is survived by Jean Hess of the home, two sons, Thomas Hess, Jr., and Timothy Hess of Moberly; three daughters, Beverly Hess Thorp of Moberly, Mary Louise Hess Lay of Columbia, and Velda Hess Ward of Moab, Utah; one step-son James Shepherd of Moberly; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, Raymond Hess, Henry Hess, David Hess, Alfred Hess, Freddie Hess, Manning Hess, John Hess and Darryl Hess; four sisters, Margaret (Maggie) Hess Rigler, Minnie Hess Young, Norene Hess Stanley and Edna Hess Gravitt and one daughter Donna Hess Stevenson. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
