Fraom Moberly paper: John R Hess, 77, of Moberly died Nov 30 at his home in Moberly. He was born June 2, 1926, in Moberly a son of the late Harvey and Mary Justus Hess. On May 16, 1959, in Urbana, Ohio, he married Darlene McCaulley. She survives of the home. Mr Hess served in World War II and was a self employed septic tank cleaner. Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Dunivent of Moberly and Mary Alice Watson, state of Ohio; one brother, Tom Hess; six grandchildren. several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Harvey Hess, seven brothers and four sisters. Burial in Hagar Cemetery.
