ARNOLD M. MAZANECC, 76 HEMINGFORD Arnold M. Mazanec, 76, died Tuesday, October 28, 1997 at his home in Hemingford. He was born February 23, 1921, at Archer, Nebraska to Edward and Mary (Pekarek) Mazanec. His family moved to Dawes County in 1921. He married Rachel Klein at Scottsbluff on June 30, 1946. He worked in farming and started a well drilling and windmill service in 1957. The family moved to Hemingford in 1961. Survivors are his wife, Rachel. and son, Dennis both of Hemingford, daughter, Janice Bellew, Alliance, sisters, Genevieve Jones and Dorothy Lehl, both of Hemingford, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Congregational Church United Church of Christ in Hemingford. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday. November 3, at the Congregational Church in Hemingford. The Rev. Dale Blake will officiate. Burial will be in the Hemingford Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Hemingford Community Care Center. Bates Gould Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
