From The Palmer Journal March 31, 1955, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Winslow James Bahensky, son of Joseph and Marie Bahensky was born on September 15, 1868 in the village of Klando, Providence of Bohemia, Republic of Czechoslovakia. He came to America when only an infant in 1869, with his parents. They located in Saline County, Nebraska, on a farm near the Blue River, at Crete, Nebraska. There he lived with his parent until the year of 1885 when they moved to a farm in Merrick County. On February 10, 1898, he was united in marriage to Anna Belik at Wahoo, Nebraska. The same year they settled on a farm near Central City, where they lived until 1912, when they moved to the farm near Palmer, where they resided until his death March 25, 1955 at the age of 87 years, 6 mos and 10 days. His life work was Veterinary and farming. To this union three children were born, two daughters and one son: Mrs. Lillian Vetter of Anselmo, Nebr., Mrs. Alice Kutch of Palmer, and Alton T. Bahensky on the home farm at Palmer. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by two brothers: K. D. and Stephen Bahensky, both of the Palmer area and one sister, Mrs. Augusta Harshberger of Glendale, California, three grandchildren, Bernard Kutch of Idaho Springs, Colorado and James Allen and Charles Thomas Bahensky of Palmer, (illegible) great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews, many other relatives and a host of friends. ~~~~~~~~~ Another daughter is Alice Bahensky Kutch, Memorial #18810563.
