Thanks to Contributor diaNEB for the following: Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Sunday, April 27, 1980 Lillian M. Vetter, 81, of Palmer died Friday night at a Grand Island hospital. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First Church of Christ in Palmer. The Rev. Charles Stillman will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Palmer. Visitation will be Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Greenway Funeral Home in Palmer. Mrs. Vetter was born Dec. 29, 1898, in Merrick County. She was the daughter of James and Anna Belik Bahensky. She received her education in Palmer Schools and attended St. Paul Business College. After completing her education she worked in the Howard County courthouse, performing clerical duties. Later she moved to Omaha where she worked as a clerk for the Woodmen of the World. Then she attended beauty school and became a hairdresser. She left Omaha to move to Anselmo where she operated a beauty salon. She retired in 1978 and moved to Palmer. She married Henry Vetter. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a brother, Alton Bahensky, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Kutch, both of Palmer.
