From The Palmer Journal, November 3, 1966, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, at 2:00 p.m. at the First church of Christ in Palmer for Mrs. James Bahensky, who passed away early Tuesday evening at Anselmo.... Mrs. Anna Bahensky, 85, was born on June 24, 1881 at Prague, Nebraska to Mary and John Belik. She grew to womanhood in that area and on February 10, 1898 she was united in marriage to James Bahensky at Wahoo. The same year they settled on a farm near Central City where they lived until 1912. They then moved to the farm near Palmer, where she resided until she went to live with her daughter at Anselmo. She lived there the past several years. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors for many years. She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Lillian Vetter of Anselmo and Mrs. Alice Kutch of Palmer; a son, Alton Bahensky of Palmer; one brother, John Belik of Libby, Montana; 4 sisters, Mrs. Sophia Dunder of Prague, Mrs. Dena Ruzicka of North Bend, Mrs. Blanche Wirka of Columbus and Mrs. Bibean Fencl of Ross, North Dakota; 3 grandsons, 2 great-granddaughters and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
