Bio

Daughter of Samuel Barry Coats and his first wife, Sarah Emily Kelly. Margaret married Hugh Marshall Ferrington about 1889, and was the mother of 8 children. They later separated. She then married George Aldro Wright, and resided in Bakersfield. Margaret was survived by 6 children; brothers George and Marion Coats of Monmouth, Illinois, and Henry Coats of Iowa; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Note - The birth certificates for 6 of her 8 children spelled their surname as Ferrington, while 2 spelled it as Farrington. Son Lewis Clark Farrington was adopted and his name changed. Only son Ralph used the spelling Farrington, as given on his birth certificate.
