Bio

Daughter of John S. Kelly and his wife, Elizabeth Margaret Cutliff. Sarah married Samuel Barry Coates on 2 December 1875 in Warren county, Kentucky. They moved to Warren county, Illinois about 1893, settling near Cameron. Sarah was survived by her husband, and 5 of her 6 children: sons George Sidney, Lovel Marion, and Henry Parker Coates; and daughters Margaret Elizabeth Ferrington, and Cama Jane Amott. She was preceded by her son, William Walter Coates.
