Jim Tobola, West Theater Owner, Dies Jim Tobola, 85, of West died Sunday afternoon, December 24, in a West hospital. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mr. Tobola was a native of Praha. He married Mary Marek in West on Sept. 21, 1914. He was the owner and operator of the Best Theater in West from 1928 until he retired in 1971. He was also a member of the National Theater Owners Association. He was a member of SPJST Lodge No. 54 of West and St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption.
