Mrs. Mary Swinky, Former Resident, Dies In Bay City Mrs. Mary Brezik Swinky of Blessing, Texas, died of a heart attack Thursday, August 23 in a Bay City hospital. She was 85. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 25 at the West Catholic Church of the Assumption. Rev. James Quilter officiated with burial in the West Catholic Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Aderhold-Moore Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Swinky was born in Praha, Texas, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tobola. They moved to Penelope when she was a young girl. She lived in West on the Tobola homestead for many years before moving to Blessing some 15 years ago. Survivors are her husband, Frank Swinky of Blessing; a son, Frank Brezik of Waco; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Meisch of Waco, Mrs. Albina Dean of Victoria and Mrs. Victoria Parker of Albuquerque, N.M.; four brothers, Willie Tobola, Jim Tobola, Emil Tobola and Joe Tobola, all of West; four sisters, Mrs. Frances Blahuta and Mrs. Julie Marek of Penelope, Mrs. Sophie Richter of Flatonia, and Mrs. Betty Holasek of Corpus Christi; four grandchildren.
