Ludvik L. Tobola, age 76 of West, died early Wednesday morning, December 11, 1996 at Olin E. Teague Veterans Hospital in Temple. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. December 12 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. December 13 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, con-celebrated by Rev. Melvin Dornak and Rev. Richard Breyer. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Tobola was born August 13, 1920 in West, the son of Jim and Mary Tobola. He graduated from West High School in 1938 and then attended A&M University where he received a degree in Engineering. He also served in the United States Air Force from September 1942 to December 1945. He was employed by the Texas Highway Department as a Civil Engineer for several years until his retirement. He also worked as a Projectionist at Best Theater in West for many years. He was a dedicated and faithful member of the Waco Veterans Administration Chapel group and also a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He had a deep interest in all world affairs. He is survived by his son, Very Reverend Louis L. Tobola, Jr. of Euless; a daughter, Carolyn Tobola Pearson of Aurora, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were James Tobola, Tyce Tobola, Mark Tobola, Britt Tobola, Toby Tobola and Steve Mason. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was charge of arrangements.
