Funeral Services For Mrs. Marek Held Thursday Mrs. Julia Marek, 86, of Waco, former resident of Penelope for 70 years, died Monday evening in a Waco hospital. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Chapel in West by Rev. Bohumil Hruby. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Welcome Nix officiating. Burial was at National Cemetery near West. Mrs. Marek was born in Flatonia July 6, 1885. Her husband died in 1954. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Survivors include five sons, John Marek of Leroy, Emil Marek and Jim Marek, both of Grand Prairie, Bill Marek of Penelope, and Henry Marek of Duncanville; five daughters, Matilda Maders of West Caldwell, N.J., Mrs. Jewell Webb, Mrs. Carrie Corley, Mrs. Francis Richardson and Fay Marek, all of Waco; three brothers, Will Tobola of Route 1, West, Emil Tobola of Penelope, and Jim Tobola of West; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Blahuta of Dallas and Mrs. Sophie Ryba of Schulenberg; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ernest Tobola, Sr., Ernest Adam, Albert Marek, George Marek, Frank Rejcek, and Ernest Bezdek.
