Requiem Mass Held Tues. For Henry C. Sykora Requiem Mass for Henry Charles Sykora of Route 2, West, was celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption with Rev. Robert Sykora of Dallas, Rev. B. J. Zintek of West, and Rev. Frank Miller of Tours as celebrants. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Monday in the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Robert Sykora. Mr. Sykora, 48, died Monday morning, Feb. 7, in a Hillsboro hospital, apparently of a heart attack. He was a native of Mount Calm, and a resident of West for the past 14 years. He married Angeline Macik on Oct. 4, 1943 in Penelope. Mr. Sykora was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, RVOS Lodge in Cottonwood, Trustee of St. Mary's P-TC, and Second Vice-President of KJT Society No. 31, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ernest Sykora, Tommy Sykora and Sammy Sykora, all of West; five daughters, Miss Bernadine Sykora of Waco, Miss Theresa Sykora, Miss Mary Sykora, Miss Betty Sykora, and Miss Angie Sykora, all of West; three brothers, Louis Sykora of Penelope, John Sykora and Joe Sykora, both of Dallas; five sisters, Mrs. John (Lillie) Gerik of Dallas, Mrs. Willie (Albina) Vitek of Plano, Mrs. Otto (Louise) Matus of Waco, Mrs. Jerry (Janie) Petter of Dallas, and Mrs. Charlie (Martha) Gajdica of Dallas, and one grandson. Pallbearers were Ivan Svrcek, Karl May, Herb Weithorn, Harry Lichnovsky, George Polansky, and Henry Kolar. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Cihlar, Joe Mazanec, Jr., Cyril Svrcek, Frank Seith, Harvey Prnka, Stan Lundin, Otto Sanders, Pete Geibler, and Marvin Symms.
