Bio
Teresa E. Sulak, 85, went home to Our Lord on Monday August 27, 2001 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Teresa was born in Penelope, Texas on October 7, 1915 to Ludwig and Filomena Vanek. Teresa loved serving Our Lord through her family and friends and especially as a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where she served as a Sacristan for many years and as a member of the Altar Society. She also belonged to the K.J.Z.T. and the Missionaries of Mercy of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity. She is proceeded in death by her husband Lewis J. Sulak and her parents Ludwig and Filomena Vanek, her sister Annie Vanek and brothers Frank, Ben, Louis and Edwin Vanek. Teresa is survived by daughter Magdalen (Victor) Benys, son Erwin (Margaret) Sulak, daughter Rita (J.R.) Cater, and son James (Sandra) Sulak, fifteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. A Rosary Vigil will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at 7:00 P.M. at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Roger Smith at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 30, 2001 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Teresa will then be transferred to Kotch Funeral Home in West, Texas where a Rosary Vigil will be held for her family and friends Friday, August 31, 2001 at 7:00 P.M. with a Funeral Liturgy of the Word at 9:00 A.M. Saturday, September 1, 2001. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery where she will be laid to rest along side her beloved husband Lewis. Pallbearers are Joseph Sulak, Victor J. Benys, III, Markus Benys, Matthew Benys, Lewis Shallcross, and Christopher Shallcross. Honorary pallbearers are Kyle Sulak, Todd Shallcross, Clayton Shallcros Contributor Joe David
