John Stanislav, 81, Dies Here Wednesday; Funeral 9:30 Friday John Stanislav, a resident of this community for 52 years, died at his home on South Harrison Street at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, March 1st. He was a retired farmer, and was 81 years of age. Mr. Stanislav was born in Czechoslovakia on March 7, 1851. When he was 20 years old, he came to the United States, coming to Texas and settling in Fayette County. Nine years later, he moved to this community, having been a resident of West since. He was a successful farmer during his life, retiring from that occupation some years ago and residing in this city from that time. Funeral services will be held this morning, Friday, March 3rd, at the residence at 9:00 and at the Church of the Assumption at 9:30, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Jos. F. Pelnar in charge. Interment will be at the Catholic Cemetery. Survivors: two daughters, Misses Bertha and Mary Stanislav of West; five sons, John, August, Rudolph and Joseph Stanislav of West, and Dr. F.J.
