Rites Held For Florian Smetak Florian Smetak, 71, of West died Friday afternoon at his home. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Earl Hedberg as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anna Smetak of West; three sons, Raymond Smetak of Elm Mott, Fred Smetak of West and Vince Smetak of Camera, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Marsh of Cyrus, Calif.; four brothers, Bernard Smetak of Whittier, Calif., Frank Smetak of Fort Stockton, Louis Smetak of Hillsboro and Fred Smetak of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Millie McCaig of Dallas, and 18 grandchildren.
