Mrs. Smetak, 69, Dies; Rites Held Mrs. Florian (Anna) Smetak, 69, of Route 2, West, died Monday at her home. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, Rev. Earl Hedberg was the celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Smetak was born in West and had lived in the West area for the past 40 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Her husband died on April 27 this year. Survivors include three sons, Raymond Smetak of Route 1, Elm Mott, Fred Smetak of Route 2, West, and Vince Smetak of Camera, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Marsh of Cypress, Calif.; and 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Raymond Kapczynski, Roman Kapczynski, Bill Flaherty, Fred Smetak, and Mike Smetak.
