Bio
Frank A. Nors, age 86, of 300 Haven, a retired carpenter, and farmer, died Thursday, May 7, 1987, at his residence. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 9 in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Sunday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, with Rev. Ray Widacki as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mr. Nors was born November 2, 1900, in West and had lived in the West area all of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. He belonged to the SPJST Lodge 66 and was a participant in SOKOL for a number of years. He married Frances Sinkule, who preceded him in death on March 28, 1973. Survivors include one son, Laddie Nors of Bellmead; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Martha) Slovak of Rt. 1, West, Mrs. Walter (Bennie) Zajicek of Bryan and Mrs. William (Mary Ann) Walker of Bellmead; four brothers, Jim and Daniel Nors both of Abbott, Louis Nors of West and Pete Nors of Rt. 1, Mt. Calm; two sisters, Mary Hutyra of West and Agnes Janek of Rt. 1, Mt. Calm; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bernard Slovak, Danny Slovak, Ronald Slovak, Gene Zajicek, Shawn Walker, and David Nors.
