Mary Ann (Nors) Walker, age 78, of West, passed away late Sunday evening, July 7, 2024 at West Rest Haven in West. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Deacon Robin Waters officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mary was born October 18, 1945 in West, near the Tokio community, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Sinkule) Nors. She attended St. Mary's School and West Elementary School. Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was a homemaker and Mother. Mary enjoyed mowing, being outdoors, playing Bingo at the nursing home, crafting, watching the Hallmark Channel, having a strawberry shake with Kaylee, and eating a good kolache and cookie. She loved spending time with her family and going to eat with the Widow Club on the last Wednesday of each month. She was known to tell you whatever was on her mind. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bennie Marie Zajicek; and a brother, Laddie Nors. Survivors include her children, Shawn Walker and wife Carrie of Meridian and Christy Miller and husband Jerry Sr. of Whitney; her grandchildren, Nathan Walker and wife Kelsea, Justin Walker, Kaylee Miller, and Jerry Miller Jr.; a sister, Martha Slovak; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Kaylee Miller, Jerry Miller Jr., Nathan Walker, Justin Walker, Blake Kettler, and Gene Zajicek. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery Association.
