Louis T. Nors, 69, of 209 E. Pecan in West died Thursday, August 11, 1988 in a Temple hospital. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, with Msgr. Ray Widacki as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Nors was born Sept. 12, 1918, in West, where he lived all his life. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He also was a farmer and had been employed at West Flour Mill for 18 years and at Fleetwood Mobile Home for a number of years. He married Jannie Veselka on Nov. 26, 1945, in West. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4819 and K.J.T. Society No. 31. He also was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. John (Angeline) Nelson of Harker Heights; three brothers, Jim Nors and Daniel Nors, both of Abbott, and Pete Nors of Mount Calm; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Janek of Mount Calm; two granddaughters, Theresa Urban and Angela Urban; and two step-granddaughters, Barbara Nelson and Elaine Nelson. Pallbearers were Willie Hutyra, Clarence Janek, Eugene Nors, Joe Veselka, Jr., Richard Veselka and Freddie Hutyra. Honorary pallbearers were members of V.F.W. Post No. 4819.
