Bio

John D. Mashek, 74, a 33-year Waco resident, died Tuesday in a Dallas hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Louis Catholic Church, Monsignor Mark Deering officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 6 at Connally-Compton West Chapel. Mr. Mashek was born in West. He was the retired manager of DeWitt Clark Lumber Co. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillian Mashek; a son, John Mashek, Jr. of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. A.C. Stanislav, Mrs. Joe Urbis and Mrs. Herman Grimm, all of West; and two brothers, Jim Mashek and Ed Mashek, both of West; and two grandchildren.
