Frank J. Karlik, Sr., 80, of Route 1, West, died December 6, 1986 at his residence. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 9 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West with the Rev. Ray Widacki as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mr. Karlik was born August 21, 1906 in West and lived in the West area all of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council No. 2305. He was a retired farmer. Karlik was married to Willie Mae Fojtik. Survivors include: his wife; four sons, Frank J. Karlik Jr. and William Karlik, both of West, Robert J. Karlik to Whitney and Wayne Karlik of Grand Prairie; a daughter, Mrs. Irene King of Louisville, Kentucky; a brother, Albin Karlik of West; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Gerik and Miss Agnes Karlik, both of West and Annie Mae Cernosek of Waco; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Frankie Karlik, Charles Karlik, Randy Horton, Jimmy Dulock, Bobbie Craig and Gregory Karlik.
