Agnes Karlik, age 92, of West, passed away late Thursday evening. October 19, 1995, at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary was recited at 9:45 a.m. Oct. 21 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption by Rev. Steven Nesrsta. Mass of Christian Burail was celebrated at 10 a.m. Oct. 21 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with the Rev. Ed Karasek and Rev. Steven Nesrsta as celebrants. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Karlik was born August 19, 1903, the daughter of Cyril and Elizabeth Karlik. She was a homemaker and a farmer. She enjoyed baking kolaches and other pastries. She was a member of the K.J.Z.T. Society No. 11 and the Altar Society. She is also a life-long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Gerik of West and Anna Mae Cernosek of Waco; one sister-in-law, Ida Karlik of West; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Edwin Gerik, Johnny Gerik, C.W. Cernosek, Billy Karlik, Carlton Karlik and Billy Maggard. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
