Emilie Kapavik Age 78, Dies Mrs. Frank J. (Emilie Foitek) Kapavik, 78, of West died Friday, Sept. 15, in a Waco hospital. Services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. George Doskocil officiating. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Kapavik was born near West, where she lived all of her life. She married Frank Kapavik Nov. 7, 1921. She was a Catholic. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Georgia Kramer and Mrs. Josephine Hutyra, both of Waco, and Mrs. Helen Sulak of Arlington; three sons, Ernest Kapavik of Gonzales, Henry Kapavik and Frankie Kapavik of West; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Kocurek of Pierce, Mrs. Janie Steinocher of West and Mrs. Christine Zustopil of Dallas; and 25 grandchildren. Pallbearers were David Kapavik, Ronnie Kramer, Patrick Sulak, Robert Kapavik, Henry Kapavik, Jr. and Frankie Kapavik, Jr. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 88, No. 38, Edition 1, Thursday, September 21, 1978, page 6.
