Frankie R. Kapavik, Sr., 49, of Route 1, West, died November 6, 1986 at a Temple Hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Nov. 8 at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Nov. 9 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, the Rev. Ray Widacki as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mr. Kapavik was born March 30, 1937 in West and lived in West all of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2305. Mr. Kapavik was employed with the Waco Independent School District as a transportation supervisor for the past eight years. He previously owned the B&K Service Station in West for many years. Mr. Kapavik was married to Theresa Rendek on July 31, 1954 in West. Survivors include his wife; his father, Frank J. Kapavik of Route 1, West; a son, Frankie R. Kapavik, Jr. of Route 1, West; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Carolyn) Pustejovsky of West and Mrs. Harry (Linda) Rejcek of Leroy; a brother, Ernest Kapavik of Gonzales; three sisters, Mrs. Reinard (Georgia) Kramer of Waco, Mrs. Wesley (Helen) Sulak of Arlington and Mrs. Freddie (Josephine) Hutyra of Northcrest; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Henry Kapavik, Jr., Homer Swanner, Donald Kramer, Greg Waddell, Jerry Hykel and James Bohannan.
