Bio

Mrs. Janie Rose Steinocher, age 84, of 307 W. Spruce St., passed away Saturday, May 31, 1986 at West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. B.J. Zientek. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. June 2, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Msgr. George Doskocil as celebrant. burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Steinocher was born November 26, 1901 in McLennan County, the daughter of Joseph and Johanna Foitek. She married Frank Steinocher November 23, 1925 in West, where they lived most of their life. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1972. She was a housewife, a member of the KJZT 11, The Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She is survived by three sons, Edward Steinocher of West, Frank Steinocher and Raymond Steinocher, both of Waco; one daughter, Dorothy Gajdosik of West; one sister, Mrs. Christine Zastoupil of Dallas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tommy Wolf, Edwin Marek, Kyle Sembera, James Parma, Jerry Charanza and Daniel Foitek. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 96, No. 23, Edition 1, Thursday, June 5, 1986, page 10.
