Widow of Elias Henderson. Mother of: William Lucy, Hannah, Charles and Zachariah Henderson. Jesse Franklin Barnett and Nettie May (Barnett) Chubbuck. --------------- From "The North Loup Loyalist", North Loup, Nebraska dated Friday, February 9, 1923, Page 1: Mrs. Elizabeth Barnett Elizabeth Jane Snyder was born October 7, 1851, in the state of Illinois and departed this life January 19, 1923 at her home eight miles south of North Loup Nebraska. At the time of her death she was 71 years, 3 months and 22 days of age. On November 6, 1871, she was married to Elias H. Henderson and to this union were born five children. The father died in the year 1885 leaving the mother and five children alone in the world. The mother cared for the family and was united in marriage to Mr. George Barnett on the 12th day of December, 1887. To this marriage two children were born one son and one daughter, Jesse F Barnett of North Loup and Mrs. Martin Chubbeck of Davis Creek. Mr. and Mrs. George Barnett resided at Friend, Colorado for a number of years and in 1893 moved to Sherman county where they have since made their home. She united with the Methodist church in Hamilton county in 1883. Mrs. Barnett is survived by her husband, 7 children, 5 grand children, 4 sisters, 3 brothers and her mother. Funeral services were conducted at the residence Wednesday afternoon by H. K. Clifton of the Methodist church. Interment was made in Hillside Cemetery. Con.
