Bio

The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, January 5, 1967; pg. 4 Frank J. Petr, 91, who came to the Lawrence community when he was a child of nine, died Saturday, December 31, 1966, at Nelson. He was a native of Czechoslovakia and farmed until his retirement from an active career. Services were held Tuesday, January 3, 1967, at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lawrence, with Father Peter Naughton officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery (sic). Rosary was recited Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Sacred Heart Church with Father Naughton in charge. Mr. Petr is survived by a son and daughters, Joseph of Pueblo, Colo., Mrs. John Kucera of Lawrence and Mrs. Roy Landon of Hastings; four grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and his sister, Mrs. William Sekora of Deweese.
