Spring Ranche (sic) ========================= Superior Express (Superior, NE), Thursday, April 12, 1990 Lula A. Sekora, 94, Deweese, died last Tuesday in the Good Samaritan Center, Nelson, at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 26 days. Rosary was at 10 a.m., Saturday at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Deweese. Services followed at 10:30 a.m., in the church with the Rev. Frank Machovec and the Rev. Nicholas Baker officiating. Burial was in the St. Martin Cemetery near Deweese. Mrs. Sekora was born to Jacob and Frances Petr May 7, 1895, on a farm near Deweese. Feb. 10, 1914, she was united in marriage with William H. Sekora and to this union four children were born. They farmed in the Deweese community for 60 years. He died March 25, 1974. In 1976, Mrs. Sekora made her home in Elk Creek Manor, Nelson, until 1985 when she moved to the Good Samaritan Center where she lived the remainder of her life. She was a member of St. Martin's (Loucky) Catholic Church and a member of the altar society. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, William, one son, Louis, who died in infancy, three brothers and one sister. Survivors are one son, Edward Sekora, Nelson; two daughters, Eleanor Masek of Lincoln and Rose Masek of Valparaiso; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives. McLaughlin Funeral Home, Clay Center, had charge of the arrangements. ============================= Additional info from The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, April 12, 1990, pg. 2 Craig Buescher was lector. Pallbearers were Richard Sekora, Ronald Sekora, Ronald Masek, Kenneth Masek, Leo Masek, and Dennis Masek.
