The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, February 18, 1965 Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, for Mrs. Frank Drudik, Sr., who passed away Monday, February 15. Mrs. Drudik, 71, was a resident of the Good Samaritan Home in Nelson. She was born in the Deweese area and lived there all her life until she and her husband moved to Nelson five years ago. She is survived by her husband and two daughters. Rev. J.M. O'Conner will officiate at the 10:00 a.m. services in the Sacred Heart Church in Nelson. Interment will be in the Nelson Cemetery. Klawitter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ====================== The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, February 25, 1965 Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Drudik Sr. were held Thursday, February 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Nelson, Nebr., Father James O'Conner offered the Requiem Mass and officiated at the graveside services at the Nelson cemetery (sic). Pallbearers were George Petr, Tony Lukasek, Edmund Drudik, John Hajny Jr., Edward Drudik, and Bernard Drudik. Mary (Petr) Drudik, daughter of Jakaf and Frances Petr was born June 29, 1893, southwest of Deweese in a sod house and died at the Nursing Home at Nelson on February 15, 1965 at the age of 71. Mrs. Drudik became ill on January 27 and was taken to Brodstone hospital (sic) and then brought home for a few days at the Nursing Home for treatment. Mrs. Drudik was a member of the Catholic church and was always active in the work of the Altar Society. Her friendly disposition and gracious hospitality will be missed by her many friends to her husband and children. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She is survived by her husband Frank Drudik Sr., 2 daughters, Frances at home, and Mrs. Marvin Ruhga of Nelson, and a foster daughter, Mrs. Frank Lukasek of Deweese, Nebr.; also 3 grandchildren and one brother, Frank Petr of Lawrence, Nebr. Her parents preceded her in death several years ago and 2 sons in infancy and 2 brothers.
