Bio
The Fairfield Auxiliary (Fairfield, NE), Thursday, October 8, 1936; pg. 1 JACOB PETR Jacob Petr was born at Moravia, July 15, 1850, and died at his daughter's home, Mrs. W.H. Sekora, September 24, 1936 at the age of 86 years, 2 months and 9 days. In 1871 he was united in marriage to Miss Frances Zabransky. To this union were born eight children, three of whom died in infancy and five were born in Europe. In 1884, they came to America and settled in Clay county (sic). He was preceded in death by his wife, who died November 27, 1934 (sic). He is survived by three sons, Frank, Jacob, John, of Lawrence, and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Drudik of Deweese, Mrs. Wm. Sekora of Spring Ranch, seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren, besides a host of relatives and friends. The funeral services were held in Deweese at the Catholic church on September 26th. Rev. Adrian Klepac, O.S.B. , officiated. Burial was made in the Deweese cemetery.
