Kirkland War Veteran, Jessie Sides, Buried CHILDRESS, Texas, June 29. - Funeral services were conducted at Kirkland Sunday afternoon for Jessie Lemon Sides, 41, who died in San Francisco, Calif., June 22. The services were at the Kirkland Baptist church with the Cox-Furr post of the American legion in charge. Sides was a former resident of Kirkland. He was found critically ill on the streets of San Francisco and died in a hospital. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Sides of Kirkland; three brothers, Jack Sides of Kirkland, Floyd Sides of Longview and Wilbur Sides of Big Spring; and six sisters, Mrs. Eva McDonald of Childress, Mrs. C.W. Beard of Kirkland, Mrs. L.H. Holliman of Kirkland, Mrs. Alga Williamson of Kirkland, Mrs. W.W. Williamson of Memphis and Mrs. Malvisia Thorton of Cisco.
