Bio

Evie was the daughter of William Jess and Celia Caroline Key Sides. Siblings were William Floyd, Huit Clifton "Jack", Jesse Lemon, Luevada, Maude, Melissa, Mary Ellen, Wilbur,and Ethel Lena Sides. Evie first married Harold Vaughn in 1923,and to them was born a son, Warren Earl Vaughn. who became a US Marine Corps Lieutenant and pilot who was executed by the Japanese after being shot down and captured on the island of Chichi Jima in World War II. He has a cenotaph at the Natiional Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (FAG # 56134288). Evie married second Wilbur McDonald in 1932.
