Bio

Clyde married Ima Faye McAfee 27 October 1928 in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas. Clyde Ponder Succumbs Here Clyde Ponder ,63, of 1018 Fisher Street died unexpectedly at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the family residence. He was born at Reilly Springs, Sept. 4, 1904, the son of Frank and Nobie Whatley Ponder. He was a member of the Baptist church and a long-time employe of A.P. Green Brick Company. His wife, the former Faye McAfee, whom he married in 1928, survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Ann Johnson of Roosevelt, Utah and Mrs. Clydus Nell Cunningham of Sulphur Springs; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Carl Starrett of Sulphur Springs; six brothers, Percy Ponder, Como, Hollis Ponder and Robert Ponder, both of Commerce, Duval Ponder and Fred Ponder, both of Sulphur Springs and John Ponder of Wisconsin. Funeral arrangements are pending at Tapp Funeral Home.
