Bio

Married Annie Jewel Stinson 22 December 1918 in Hopkins County, Texas. Married Mattie Faye Rogers 21 August 1941 at Marietta, Love County, Oklahoma. Services Held For Brice Resident Funeral services for L. H. Ponder, who farmed in the Brice Community, were held at the Brice Baptist Church Saturday afternoon with Rev. James Allison of Hobbs, N. M., and the Rev. George Arthur of the Brice Church officiating . Mr. Ponder died Thursday night after suffering a heart attack at his home . He is survived by his wife , five sons, Cameron R. of Dallas , L. H. Ponder, Jr. of Garland, Harold of Houston, Howard of Dallas, Paul of Brice; two daughters, Miss Joyce Ponder and Miss Wyvon Ponder, both of Brice, seven brothers, two sisters and 13 grandchildren. Burial was in the Lakeview Cemetery with Spicer Furneral Home of Memphis in charge of arrangements . NOTE: Leslie is buried in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
