Mrs.Johnson's Rites Sunday Funeral services for Marjorie Ponder Johnson of Lamesa will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Murray-Orwosky Funeral home in Sulphur Springs . Mrs. Johnson died late Wednesday at Wilcox ,Ariz. at the age of 32. She was born in Hopkins County Jan.29,1933,the daughter of Clyde and Faye McAfee Ponder.She married Earl Stafford Johnson in Sulphur Springs ,Dec.2,1950. Survivors include her husband ,a son Gary Earl and a daughter Kathy Diane,all of Lamesa. ;her parents ,of Sulphur Springs;two sisters Mrs Patricia Ann Johnson of Elk City,Okla.,and Mrs. Clydus Nell Cunningham of Sulphur Springs;and several Aunts and Uncles . Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Joe Attlesey, Finnis Attlesey ,William B.Bailey,Jay Starrett, Garland Townsend and Olan Townsend. Mrs.Johnson was a member of the Baptist church.
