Bio

Florence Marie Mabee, age 101, of Peoria, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at her residence at Buehler Home in Peoria. She was born January 9, 1923 in Mackinaw, IL to Samuel and Elsie (Schmidt) Landes. She married Thomas W. Mabee on November 20, 1941 in Deer Creek, IL. He passed away August 18, 2003 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons: Thomas William and David Bradley Mabee, five sisters and five brothers. Survivors include two children: Mary (David) Cunningham of Peoria, John (Lori) Mabee of Peoria. Florence was the Library Clerk at Peoria High School from 1969 to 1989. She was a lifetime member of First Federated Church in Peoria. While at church she enjoyed volunteering at the front desk. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be in the church columbarium at a later date. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel .
