Bio

This was in the Carroll Free Press, Carrollton, Ohio, Wednesday, March 31, 1880. Patterson--Amos--married March 21, 1880, by Rev. Robert Herron, D. D., Mr. John Patterson and Miss Adda S. Amos, all of Carrol county, Ohio. Her obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, February 17, 1916. Following a stroke of paralysis Mrs. John Patterson died Wednesday in her home in Perry Twp., where she was born 54 years ago. Interment will be made Friday morning in the United Brethren cemetery, Perrysville, and the services will be conducted by Rev. H. H. Davis, who will be assisted by Rev. C. C. Slates. For years she was one of the leaders in the United Brethren Church. Her maiden name was Adaline Amos. She is survived by her husband and the following children; Ernest, of Lee Twp., Albert, Mrs. James Logan, Mrs. Harry Smeltz, of Perry Twp., Murray and Anna at home. W. R. Amos, of Perry Twp., is a brother.
