Richard Paul Culler, richardpculler at msn dot com, provided the following information: She was born December 15, 1880 in Perry Twp., Carroll Co., Ohio, and died in People's Hospital in Mansfield, Richland Co., Ohio. She was married to James Wilbert Logan on February 14, 1906 in Carroll County, Ohio. Her obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, January 9, 1964. Mrs. Bessie M. Logan, 83, a lifetime resident of Perry Twp., died Saturday at People's Hospital in Mansfield. She had been in poor health for four months and was admitted to the hospital a week before her death. Born December 15, 1880, in Perry Twp., she was a daughter of the late John and Addie (Amos) Patterson. Her husband, James Logan, a former Carroll County commissioner, died in 1951. Mrs. Logan was a member of Perrysville E.U.B. Church and WSCS of the church and the WCTU. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. S. L. (Florence) Postlethwait of Bowerston, Mrs. Jess (Olive) Calland of Mansfield and Mrs. Merle (Elizabeth) McCartney of Columbus; two sons, John of Chester, N.Y., and Roy of Rt. 1, Bowerston, a former county commissioner; one sister, Mrs. Ray Umpleby of Rt. 1, Scio; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, three brothers and a sister. Services were Monday at Perrysville E.U.B. Church with Rev. Donald Earlenbaugh officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
