Bio

Rose Anna Frank was born on 23 April 1911, to Michael and Anna Serbus Frank, near Bechyn, in Henryville Township, Renville County, Minnesota. She was one of eight children and she and her siblings attended country school District #101, in Henryville Township. Rose married Joseph Goblirsch, the son of John and Anna Schnobrick Goblirsch, on 24 April 1934, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bechyn, Renville County, Minnesota. Rose Anna and Joseph raised their nine children and farmed near Wabasso, in Waterbury Township, Redwood County, Minnesota until her husband, Joseph, died on 18 May 1968. Rose continued to live on the farm until her death. Rose was a member of the Christian Mothers and CCW, and the Catholic Workmen, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan. Rose Anna Frank Goblirsch of rural Wabasso, died at her home, at the age of 84, on 19 September 1995, in Waterbury Township, near Wabasso, in Redwood County, Minnesota. Rose was survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard and Mary Clare of Wabasso, John and Karen of Lucan, Robert and Irene of Wabasso, and William of Wabasso; daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and George Plass of Bird Island, Mary Ann and Gerald Mans of Nicollet, Rose and Joseph Purrung of Rockledge, Florida, Agnes and Delbert Hertling of Wabasso, and Donna and James Tembrock of St. Cloud; 36 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Valerian and David Frank of Olivia; and sisters, Helen Ridl and Martha Carnes of Renville, and Marie Bogema of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Margaret; an infant daughter; two grandsons; and two brothers. Visitation was held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., on 22 September 1995, at Our Lady of Victory Church in Lucan, and continued, at the church, for one hour prior to the funeral service. Her funeral was held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan on 23 September. Following the service, Rose was buried, next to her husband, in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Cemetery in Lucan, Redwood County, Minnesota.
