Bio
David William Frank was born on 25 October 1916, in rural Olivia, Renville County, Minnesota to Michael “Mike” William and Anna Gertrude Serbus Frank. He grew up on the farm and attended rural Olivia school. David married Margaret Weseloh on 18 June 1947 at Morton. They made their home and farmed south of Olivia. David enjoyed collecting scrap metal, tinkering with electric motors, and visiting anywhere there were antiques. David William Frank, of Olivia, died at the age of 91, on Thursday, 17 April 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Olivia, Renville County, Minnesota, where he had been a resident since August 2006. David was survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret, of Olivia; four children, Beverly Roback of New Brighton, Joyce Fischer of Blaine, Donna Breneman of Ham Lake, and Gerald Frank of Danube; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Martha Carnes, of Renville. David was preceded in death by his parents, and six brothers and sisters, Rosie, Valerine, Helen, Marie, Emil and George. Visitation was held on Monday, 21 April 2008, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., at the Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Olivia. Following visitation, a memorial service was held at 4:00 p.m., at the Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Olivia. The Reverend Matt Hausken officiated. David was buried in the Morton City Cemetery, Renville County, Minnesota.
