Theresa Marie Goblirsch, and her twin sister, Mary Ann, were born, on 1 October 1936, at the family home in Lucan, Redwood County, Minnesota, to Joseph and Rose Anna Frank Goblirsch. Theresa graduated from St. Anne's Catholic School in Wabasso in 1955. After graduation, she attended Mankato Commercial College where she received a degree in bookkeeping and shorthand. Theresa married George Frank Plass, on 20 August 1957, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan. They made their home in Bird Island and were blessed with nine children. Theresa and her husband farmed and worked side-by-side at Plass Implement in Bird Island. Theresa was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Catholic Aid Society in Bird Island. Her family fondly remembered what a wonderful cook and baker she was, especially making homemade bread and cinnamon rolls. She always had a large garden and canned thousands of quarts of vegetables and fruits over the years. Theresa found great joy in nurturing the family pets, dancing, playing games, and doing word puzzles. Music was a huge part of her life; and, she played the French horn, accordion, and piano. Family was so important to Theresa. She very often called her children and her twin sister, Mary Ann, and truly looked forward to having time with the grandchildren.
