ANOTHER EARLY SETTLER DIES Aged Farwell Resident Passes Away At Home of Daughter Here Wednesday SERVICES ON SATURDAY Mrs. Hans Obermiller of Farwell, one of the few remaining early settlers of this county, passed away Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Obermiller, Sr., of this city. The lady, aged 84 years, had been ill about a week previous and a stroke Wednesday morning caused her death suddenly. She was brought to this city, so her daughter could better care for her. The body was taken to her late home at Farwell where friends viewed it and to pay to her memory their last respects. Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. Pedersen of Dannebrog. Burial was made in the Kelso cemetery, beside the husband who preceded her a number of years ago. The bereaved relatives have the sincerest sympathy of the entire community, with whom the Herald joins in extending condolences. Mrs. Margretha Obermiller, a resident of Nebraska since 1857, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Obermiller, St. Paul, Nebr., April 8, 1936, following an illness of about a week duration. On September 10, 1866, she was united in marriage to Hans Obermiller. After living fourteen years near Grand Island, Nebr., Mr. and Mrs. Obermiller moved to Howard county in 1882, and purchased a farm in Kelso precinct. They moved to a more comfortable residence in Farwell in 1902. Mr. Obermiller preceded her in death on March 27, 1920. To this union, thirteen children were born, of whom five preceded their parents in death. The surviving children are: Mrs. Minnie Nagel of Waslongel (Sic.)
